Biohouse Opaque Oil Tinting Base is an open-pore wood paint based on plant oil. It is colorless and not supposed to be used without tinting. When tinted with Biohouse Tinting Color, it can achieve opaque or semiopaque coating by brushing or spraying. For white opaque effect, please use Biohouse Opaque Oil White 2590 directly. The tinted Opaque Oil is suitable for both indoor and outdoor wooden furniture, door, panel and wall cladding. It is excellent in weather resistance. The oil penetrates into wood and forms micro-porous, water repellent surface. The surface will not crack, peel, or blister.
Biohouse Opaque Oil does not contain any harmful substances and is environment friendly. The dried surface is suitable for children's toys according to EN71-3.

Preparation:
The surface of the wood before painting must be clean, dry, and frost free, with a moisture content of no more than 18%. Old paint must be removed thoroughly.
Wood polishing requirements: The surface of furniture is generally required to be 180-240 mesh; The floor surface is generally required to be 150-180 mesh, and the polishing dust needs to be removed after polishing.
Usage:
Use immediately after opening the can, stir thoroughly without diluting.
2590 White can be opened and used immediately;
2500-The tinting base must be added to 1-2 cans of 0.16 liters of Biohous Tinting Color every 2.50L before ues.
Step 1: Use a hard bristle brush to extend the wood texture and apply it thinly once;
Step 2: During the drying process, it is necessary to maintain good ventilation to avoid the odor generated by abnormal drying;
Step 3: After the first coat dries for about 8-12 hours, polish and remove dust with 400-600 grit sandpaper;
Step 4: Apply a second thin layer of paint;
Step 5: Maintain good ventilation and dryness, and avoid using water to clean or cover the painted surface within 2 weeks.
Recommended dosage: (using oak substrate as a reference)
1st coat: 70-80 g/m2
2nd coat: 40-50 g/m2
Tool cleaning:
Using Biohouse SuperClean Thinner 100 for cleaning.
Cleaning, maintenance and refurbishment:
Clean stains in a timely manner on a daily basis.
According to the wear and tear situation, there is no need to polish it, just cover it with colored oil and apply it again.
Drying time: (at 20 ℃, relative humidity of 50%, with good ventilation)
Surface dry (non stick gray): approx. 5 hours
Hard drying: approx. 24 hours
Complete curing: after 2 weeks
Low temperature will prolong the drying time.
High humidity significantly prolongs drying time.
Poor ventilation can significantly prolong drying time and easily produce odors.
Shelf life: When not opened in a cool and dry place, it can be stored for more than 3 years.
Attention:
The cloth soaked in oil should be immediately put into water after use, and should not wrinkle into a ball to eliminate the potential risk of spontaneous combustion;
Keep out of reach of children.
