Biohouse UV-resistant Clear Oil is a clear wood finish for outdoor. It protects wood against UV in sunlight and prolongs the greying. It also contains active ingredients which protect wood against fungi and mould. Biohouse UV-resistant Clear Oil is suitable for all kinds of outdoor wooden products, especially decking, terrace or patio. It is excellent in weather resistance. The oil penetrates deeply into wood and provides excellent water-resistant and dirt repellent surface. It will not crack or peel over long period. For future renovation, no sanding is necessary. Just apply a new coat.
Biohouse UV-resistant Clear Oil can also be used as topcoat over outdoor stains as a protective topcoat. For better UV protection, we recommend to use UV-resistant Clear Oil tinted with Biohouse Tinting Color, especially for area directly exposed to strong sunlight.

Preparation:
The surface of the wood before painting must be clean, dry, and frost free, with a moisture content of no more than 18%. Old paint must be removed thoroughly.
Wood polishing requirements: The surface of furniture is generally required to be 180-240 mesh; The floor surface is generally required to be 150-180 mesh, and the polishing dust needs to be removed after polishing.
Application:
Ready to use. Stir well before use. Please do not dilute.
If you need to mix colors, please add Biohouse Tinting Color and thoroughly stirred and evenly applied, the first coat of coloring needs to be followed by the last coat of colorless hard wax oil as the top coat.
Step 1: Use a hard bristle brush, lint free cotton cloth, or polishing machine (white or red nylon sheet) to apply a thin layer of paint along the wood texture. After 15 minutes, wipe off excess paint;
Step 2: During the drying process, it is necessary to maintain good ventilation to avoid the odor generated by abnormal drying;
Step 3: After the first coat is dry (colorless for about 6-8 hours, colored for about 8-24 hours, see Biohouse What is the amount of special color paste added), using Biohouse Polish #458 or 400-600 grit sandpaper to remove dust;
Step 4: Apply a second thin coat and wipe off excess paint after 15 minutes;
Step 5: Maintain good ventilation and dryness, and avoid using water to clean or cover the painted surface within 1 week.
Application amount: (on oak substrate as a reference)
1st coat: 25-35 g/m2
2nd coat: 15-20 g/m2
Tool cleaning:
Using Biohouse SuperClean Thinner 100.
Maintenance and renovation:
Depending on the wear, use BIOHOUSE Maintenance Oil 411 or Oil Care 418 for maintenance.
For renovation, apply a new coat of UV-resistant Clear Oil 8300 without sanding.
Drying time: (at 20 ℃, relative humidity of 50%, with good ventilation)
Dust dry: approx. 6 hours
Hard dry: approx. 24 hours
Final hardness: approx. 1 week
Low temperature will prolong the drying time.
High humidity significantly prolongs drying time.
Poor ventilation can significantly prolong drying time and easily produce odors.
Shelf life: When not opened in a cool and dry place, it can be stored for more than 3 years.
Attention:
Do not crumple or fold the used cloth. Cloths soaked with oil should be placed in water immediately after use to eliminate risk of self-ignition.
